Two Rivers/ Mount Si Cooperative Contract Program

General Information
The Two Rivers/Mount Si Cooperative Contract Program is designed to let Mount Si graduating seniors who may have failed a class or are unable to earn enough credit in selected classes, earn extra credit by working with Two Rivers’ teachers.
 

Classes
Students may earn credit in most subjects.  Due to facility and staff limitations, students are not able to earn credit in Physical Education or Fine Arts.  Classes meet between 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Monday  & Wednesday
 

Number of Credits
Students who start a program of study during the first semester can earn up to one (1.0) high school credit. Students who start during the second semester can earn up to one half (0.5) credit.
 

Enrollment Procedure

 

  1. Prospective students need to meet with their Mount Si counselor to determine their credit goals.
  2. Students will then meet with the Two Rivers Contract Program coordinator.  The student needs to bring a letter from their counselor specifying the amount of credit needed and in  which subject the credit will be earned.
  3. The student will then meet with the appropriate teacher to set up a contract and begin the program of study.

 
 

Timetable
Students should start their program as early as possible in the academic year.  Students needing to earn one (1.0) credit must start before the end of the first quarter (November).  Students needing to earn one half (0.5) credit must start before mid-winter break (February). Students will develop a schedule and attend Two Rivers two days, i.e. four (4) hours, each week.  The Program of Study will be terminated if a student misses more than three (3) scheduled classes.
 

Academic Progress
Credit is earned by completing the work described in the Program of Study contract set up between the Two Rivers teacher and the student. Students are expected to make proper academic progress during the school year.  Upon completion of the contract, Two Rivers will send a 'Completion of Credit' letter to the student’s counselor. Credit will be granted by Mount Si.
